A woman has filed a complaint that her 23-year-old daughter had gone missing, police said today.
Shakuntala Devi, a Greater Faridabad resident, filed a complaint yesterday that her daughter had been missing since January 28, 2014.
On that day in 2014, the 23-year-old woman left for her work at a private firm but did not return home, police said.
Since then the family had been trying to locate her but failed to get any trace of her. They suspect that she has been confined by someone, police said.
An FIR has been registered under section 346 (wrongful confinement in secret) of the IPC at Sector-31 police station.
Meanwhile, one Praveen Sapaal (58) had been missing from his home here since April 29, they said, adding that a case has been registered in the matter.
