25-yr-old SP leader beaten to death

A 25-year-old Samajwadi Party leader was beaten to death by some persons in Nasirpur area here, police said today.

Nilesh Yadav, an office bearer of the ruling Samajwadi Party's youth wing 'Lohia Vahini', was killed by some persons, who tied him to a tree and beat him up with sticks in Tatarpur village last night, they said.

The victim's family members have lodged a complaint against five persons in this connection, police said.
