26 bonded labourers rescued

As many as 26 bonded labourers were rescued from a brick kiln during a police raid in Baghpat district.

The raid was conducted yesterday following a complaint that the labourers of Shamli district were being paid a paltry amount for meeting their food expenses, police said.

All the 26 labourers were sent back to their home district.
