A 26-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death for questioning an autorickshaw driver who reportedly misbehaved with his sister, police said.
Sujit was pushed to the ground and beaten up by the 32-year-old driver on January 28, when he was confronted, they said.
According to police, Sujit, who suffered serious head injuries, died this morning.
The accused, Mithun is absconding, they said.
Cases under various IPC sections including 302 (punishment for murder) have been registered against the accused.
