A 28-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified persons at his residence in northeast Delhi's Karawal Nagar area, police said today.

The deceased, identified as Bunty, worked at a private firm in east Delhi's Anand Vihar area and lived with his family at Shiv Vihar locality in Karawal Nagar. He was about to get married in December, said a police official.

After midnight, around four unidentified persons came looking for Bunty and allegedly attacked him with knives in the presence of his parents. They fled the scene by the time Bunty's parents could raise an alarm, said the official.

Bunty was rushed to GTB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries in the wee hours today. A case of murder has been registered by the police, the official said.

It is suspected to be a case of personal rivalry and the police are questioning Bunty's friends and associates. Locals were also questioned to ascertain the identity of the accused men, police added.
