Second Russian pilot from downed jet 'picked up by Syrian army'

The pilot managed to escape, but was found by the Syrian army, who will take him to the Russian airbase

The second pilot from the Russian fighter jet downed by Turkey "was picked up by the Syrian army", Russia's ambassador to France said today.

"(He) managed to escape and according to the latest information we have, he was picked up by the Syrian army and will be taken to the Russian airbase," Alexander Orlov told Europe 1 radio. The other pilot was killed.
