Three Afghan nationals, including two women, were today detained by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for illegally crossing over to the Indian side through the Indo-Nepal border at Sonauli here.
SSB personnel intercepted the trio at the Indo-Nepal border and on checking, it was found that they were carrying passports issued by Afghanistan but no Indian visa, SSB Commandant Shiv Dayal said.
The three were detained for not carrying valid documents, he said, adding that the authorities were informed and further investigations were on.
