Three persons, allegedly involved in stealing vehicles in Delhi, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, have been arrested, police said today.
According to the police, Imran Mewati (26), Nazim alias Tunta (43) and Imran alias Sameer alias Moudi (27) have been arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi police and 12 luxury cars and two-wheelers have been recovered at the instance of the trio.
"An input was received that three persons would come near Akshar Dham temple in a stolen Tata Safari to commit a crime. Accordingly, a trap was laid and the trio were apprehended. One country-made pistol and one live cartridge were recovered from Imran alias Sameer," said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav.

He said the gang used special tactics to steal vehicles. Imran Mewati is an expert in making duplicate keys of any vehicle.
Imran Mewati and Imran alias Sameer are auto-lifters while Nazim is a receiver of stolen vehicles, police said.
