A local court today awarded death sentence to three persons, including two brothers, in a five-year-old triple murder case.

Brijpal Maurya, his son Nagendra and their relative Chulbul were shot dead during night of April 24-25, 2011 by Sangam, his brother Puddi and another person Sanjay Dubey.

Brijpal's brother Rambali suffered a fatal heart attack on hearing about the incident.

Brijpal's wife Sheela had lodged an FIR in this connection.

Later, names of two more persons - Funni Yadav and Halim - were included in the FIR on charges of complicity.

After hearing both sides, special judge P N Srivastava awarded death sentence to Sangam, Puddi and Sanjay Dubey, but absolved the other two in absence of sufficient evidence.
