3 booked in land transfer case

Crime branch sleuths today lodged a case against three persons, including a revenue officer, for diverting the status of a plot of land illegally.

"We have registered a case against the then tehsildar, Jammu, Rattan Chand, now deceased, Bansi Lal and Romesh Chander for hatching a criminal conspiracy with revenue officials and diverting the status of the land illegally," a Crime Branch spokesman said here.

The complaint was filed by Badhur Singh of Bhalwal tehsil in the district, he said.
