3 bovine smugglers arrested in J-K
Three people were arrested on charges of bovine smuggling in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted a truck in Jakhani area last evening and 12 bovine animals were found illegally loaded in the vehicle.
The accused were identified as Shakeel Ahmed, Surinder Singh and Joginder Singh, the police said, adding that a case was registered against them under relevant sections of the IPC.
