Three men, including an advocate and a jeweller, have been arrested for allegedly snatching chains, receiving and making ornaments from them, police said today.

According to the police, Deepak, alias Bhagat, was arrested from MCD Colony in North West Delhi on Tuesday after police received a tip off about his movement.

"Interrogation brought out that Deepak gave snatched gold chains to an advocate Narender who works at Rohini court, thereby leading to his arrest", said Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) P Karunakaran.

Investigations also showed that the advocate sold chains to a jeweller named Ashok Sahay Gupta who was also taken into custody. He admitted to making ornaments after melting the snatched items, said Karunakaran.

Two gold chains weighing approximately 18 gms and one stolen motorcycle have been seized from their possession, police said.

With the arrest of the trio, three cases of snatching have been solved. Deepak had been previously involved in 32 cases of snatching, police said.
