3 held with 830 gm brown sugar

Three persons were arrested from Sant Kabir Nagar with brown sugar worth about Rs 2 crore, police sources said here today.

Based on a tip-off, Babbu Singh, Shah Mohammad and Farahim were arrested yesterday from Dudhara area with brown sugar weighing 830 gm worth Rs 2 crore in the international market, they said.

During interrogation, the trio revealed that they had bought the consignment from Indore and were going to deliver it to someone in Ambedkar Nagar.

The police is probing the matter.
