At least three persons were killed and over 20 others injured in three separate road accidents in Assam, police said today.
Three persons of a 'barati' (wedding party), including the groom's brother, were killed and eight others injured when their vehicle rammed into a truck carrying sand at Agiathuri in the outskirts of city early today, police said.
The accident took place when they were returning to the groom's home at Keotpara in Sualkuchi after the marriage was solemnized.
Two more vehicles carrying people to separate weddings met with accidents at Mangaldai in which a total 12 people - five in one incident and seven members of a groom's family in another were injured.
The accidents took place last night and the injured were rushed to hospital, the police added.
