Three persons including two children were today killed and 27 others injured after a private bus they were travelling in overturned in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh, police said.
The incident occurred near Singarayakonda at around 3.30 AM when bus going from Visakhapatnam to Chennai, Singarayakonda Police Sub-Inspector Mallikarjun said.
The bus overturned after hitting a road divider in which one Rama Krishna (35), Saicharan (6) and Fathima (11) were killed, the officer said, adding 27 others, who were injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The bus was carrying 42 passengers.
