3 killed as car falls into canal

Three persons, including a woman, were killed and another injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a canal in Kosi Kalan police station area today.

The victims were returning home to Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, after paying obeisance to Bankey Behari Ji Maharaj when the mishap occurred, police said.

People rushed to the spot and made efforts to save them, police said, adding that one injured had been admitted to the hospital and is stated to be serious.

The deceased have been identified as Hitendra (28), Lovely (15) and Hemlata (60), Dy SP Atul Kumar Srivastava said, adding that their relatives have been informed.
