3 sentence to 5 yrs in jail for smuggling cows

A local court has sentenced three persons to five year in jail for smuggling cows for slaughter in Shamli district.

Additional District Sessions Judge Manoj Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each on Mohit Pal, Arshad and Israel after holding guilty for smuggling cows for slaughter yesterday, government counsel Javed Ali.

Earlier this month, police had intercepted a vehicle in Aldi village and found three cows in it.
