3-year-old boy drowns in well

A three-year-old boy drowned in a well while playing outside his house in Kupwara district of north Kashmir, police said today.

Waseem Ahmad Khan was playing outside his house at village Marg Dever in Lalpora area when he accidentally fell into the well, they said.

Despite efforts by his family and neighbours, the boy could not be saved and later his body was retrieved from the well, said police.
