30 kg drug seized, 3 arrested in Kashmir

Three drug peddlers were arrested along with 30 kg of a narcotic substance in Kulgam district of south Kashmir, police said today.

Riyaz Ahmad Wani, Bilal Ahmad Bhat and Mohammad Rafiq Khanday were intercepted by police near Wanpoh, 75 kms from here, while they were travelling in a private car last night, a police spokesman said.

He said the search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 30 kgs of poppy straw.

The vehicle was seized and the trio were booked under NDPS act, the spokesman said.
