300 dead chicks found dumped on road

Nearly 300 dead chicks were found dumped in a gunny bag in a nearby village today, causing a flutter.

Residents of Perundurai Sanitorium, 25 km from here, noticed the gunny bag on a road with blood stains this afternoon and when they opened it they found 300 chicks in a rotten condition.

Police said poultry farmers or chick sellers might have disposed the chicks.

The villagers late buried the chicks.
