31 gamblers arrested

In a special drive to crackdown the gambling dens in Hinjili area of Ganjam district, police today arrested 31 gamblers from five places, police said.

Cash around Rs 40,000, nine motorcycles, 12 bicycles and 20 mobile phone sets were seized from the gamblers, they said.

Some more persons, involved in the gambling, however, managed to escape from the spot, when police raided the dens, sources said.
