32-year-old woman gang raped

A 32-year-old woman was allegedly raped by four-five persons at Belpahar last night, police said.

As per the complaint filed by the woman this afternoon, two bike-borne persons trailed her when she was returning from a shop at Dharmashala Lane in Belpahar after purchasing a medicine for her husband.

She was forcibly pulled inside a car by two other persons and taken to a secluded place near Lakhanpur area where they raped her, police said quoting the woman's complaint.

"We have received the complaint from the victim today. We have asked for the details of the case and started our investigation. We have sent her for medical examination. As per her complaint, 4-5 people are involved in this case," Inspector at Belpahar Police Station S K Sahu said.
 

No one has been arrested fo far, police said.
