32-yr-old man from UP commits suicide in J&K

A 32-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his rented accommodation in Pulwama district of south Kashmir, police said today.

Fakeer Ansari, a resident of Khushinagar area of Uttar Pradesh, consumed some poisonous substance at Tral and died on way to hospital, a police spokesman said.

The reason behind his taking the extreme step was not immediately known, he said.

Police have registered a case and investigation is on, the spokesman said, adding that his body was handed over to his relatives for last rites after completion of medical and legal formalities.
