Police today seized a consignment of 4.25 quintal ganja from a truck and arrested its driver near a village in Begusarai district of Bihar.
During a routine checking of vehicle, the police seized the truck bearing a Tamil Nadu registration number and seized 4.25 quintal ganja from it, Matihani police station in-charge Sunil Kumar said.
The truck driver Karthik Raj, a native of Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore district, has been arrested in connection with the seizure, he said.
The price of ganja has shot up with a kg selling for Rs 10,000 in the wake of liqour ban in Bihar.
