4 arrested for intoxicating train passengers and looting them

Three members of a gang have been arrested here for allegedly looting train passengers after mixing intoxicating substances in their food, police said today.

"Three men were roaming on platform no 8 here last evening and were trying to board a train when they were arrested by the police," DSP Surender Tiwari said.

The arrested accused have been identified as Agra resident Omprakash and two Etah residents Pradeep and Akhilesh, police said.

Half a kg intoxicating powder, several mobile phones along with one kg of artificial jewellery have been recovered from their possession, police said, adding further investigations is on in the case.
