4 construction workers' bodies brought from Bhutan

Bodies of four construction workers, who died in an under-construction bridge collapse incident in Bhutan, were today brought to their native places in Malda district.

District officials said the bodies of Lucky Seikh, Baharul Islam and Sentu Seikh were taken to their native hamlet of Nagrai under Englishbazar block today. The body of another labourer Husseein Seikh was taken to her village in Ratua block two.

Earlier on July 13, the body of another construction labourer, having died in the same bridge collapse incident, had been brought to his home place in the district and buried.

Eight labourers of three blocks - English Bazar, Old Malda and Ratua II had gone to work in Bhutan and the bodies of five have so far been brought back to their native places.
 

The labourers were working in an underconstruction bridge in a remote area and feared to have got washed away after it caved in about 10 days back.
