4-day-old foetus found in hospital

In a gruesome incident, a four-day-old decomposed foetus was today found from the district government hospital here after it was dragged by a dog, police said.

The foetus was in a decomposed condition, SHO Dhirendra Yadav said, adding that it was dragged to the hospital by the dog from the dustbin.

Chief Medical Superintendent Sharadha Yadav said the foetus was disfigured by the dog.

"We are awaiting the postmortem report," she said, adding an inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
