Police has fished out bodies of four members of a family who drowned after their car fell into the Rajasthan feeder canal here, police said today.

Police suspect that the car fell into the canal yesterday after the driver lost control over the vehicle.

Divers from National Disaster Management, deployed for rescue operations, today took out the car along with bodies of all the four victims with the help of crane, they said.

The vehicle was found about 300 meters away from the spot from where it skidded into the canal.

The car was driven by Gurbhej Singh (27) while his wife Gagandeep Kaur (25), his mother Binder Kaur and five-years-old son Manraj Singh were also in the vehicle. All of them belonged to Kauni village here, police said.

Yesterday, divers could not start rescue operations due to dense fog.

District administration officials said bodies were sent to civil hospital for post mortem.
