4 govt officials suspended for unauthorised absence

District authorities have suspended four employees of education department for unauthorised absence in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said today.

The employees suspended include Farooq Ahmed (Seniour Assistant), Anu Manhas (CA), K D Shah (Auditor) and Lalit Kumar (Deputy Education Officer), he said.

During a surprise visit to Chief Education Office (CEO) in the districtyesterday, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Bhupinder Kumar, found four employees absent from duty unauthorizedly, the official said.

"Neither the leave application sanctioned by competent Authority was found available at the time of inspection nor the whereabouts of these officials were known," the DDC said.
 

He said that the DDC immediately placed them under suspension till pending inquiry and recommended their names to higher authorities for desired action.
