Four persons, including three women, sustained serious injuries as the auto in which they were travelling overturned after being hit by a speeding truck in Kashere Gate in north Delhi, police said today.
The truck driver who escaped after the accident was later arrested from near Gopalpur traffic crossing, said a police officer.
A PCR call of the accident on a service road of Yamuna Bazar in Kashmere Gate was received late last night.
The injured women were identified as Sabina, 25, Shahidan Bibi, 28, and Mukhtaran Bibi, 55, residents of Jehangirpuri.
The three and auto driver Iqbal Hussain were rushed to LNJP hospital by the police.
The truck driver was identified as Ramdas, a resident of Bulandshahr, the officer said.
