At least 40 pilgrims were today injured when a bus in which they were travelling overturned on the Pilibhit-Bahraich road near here, police said.
The victims were going to visit Purnagiri Mata temple in Uttarakhand from Bahraich when the accident occurred, they said.
Police suspect that the mishap could have occurred as the driver might have dozed off.
The injured have been hospitalised and a case has been lodged in this regard.
