48-yr-old widow raped

A 48-year-old widow was allegedly

raped by a man in Chandinagar area here, police said today.

The victim was raped by one Islam (52) when she had gone to graze cattle in the nearby jungle yesterday, they said.

On a complaint by the victim's family, an FIR has been lodged against the accused who is absconding, police said.

Medical examination of the woman has been conducted and its results are awaited, he said.
