Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would soon launch the fourth phase of the state government's green drive 'Haritha Haram' in Jayashankar Bhupalpalle district, state Chief Secretary SK Joshi said today.
Joshi, who held a video conference with district Collectors and other officials, asked them to involve people from all walks of life in the plantation drive, a state government release said.
Rao recently directed officials to take measures to plant 100 crore saplings every year from next year.
Official sources said 81.60 crore saplings have been planted in the earlier three phases of the campaign since 2015-16.
In a separate meeting with various officials, the Chief Secretary said plans are afoot to develop the Command Control Centre coming up in the city as a state-level data centre (for convergence of various agencies).
