Five persons have been arrested for committing fraud in real estate deals after allegedly posing as the owners of property, police said today.
The five accused -- identified as Mohan Lal Sharma, Bhori Meena, Ghanshyam Jangid, Nandkishore Soni and Jagat Singh -- had entered into a deal for sale of a house in Malviya Nagar to one Navrata Kumar Meghwal.
The deal was to be for Rs 90 lakh and the five accused had got Rs 1 lakh in advance for the same.

The house is registered in the name of a person living in Jodhpur but Bhori introduced himself as the owner of the house and showed fake papers to Meghwal.
However, following a tip-off, a trap was laid and the accused were detained from the Jaipur Development Authority office where they had gone to show papers to the purchaser.
DCP Amandeep Singh Kapoor said that one fake allotment letter was recovered from the accused along with a duplicate key to the house.
Soni and Bhori Meena have been arrested in land-related fraud cases in the past as well, Kapoor said.
