A man, declared proclaimed
offender in cases of murder, was arrested along with his four associates while allegedly preparing for a dacoity here, police said today.
The arrested have been identified as Sanjay (34), a proclaimed offender who is wanted in two cases, Jitender (20), Sandeep Dahiya (26), Gopal (32), who has jumped parole, and Sunil (21). Jitender is wanted in a case of murder.
They were apprehended yesterday from Narela, ACP (Outer) Sanjay Kumar said.
Two .32 pistols, one 9 MM Pistol, two country-made pistols, 15 lives cartridges and two stolen motorcycles were also recovered from their possession, he said.
"During interrogation, they told police they had gathered for committing dacoity in a factory in Narela. Sanjay is involved in around 100 cases of robbery, theft, dacoity and attempt to murder," the ACP said.
