Five persons along with arms were arrested from various localities in Bihar's Buxar district.
Superintendent of Police Upendra Kumar Sharma said today that those arrested during last night's raids included - Sanjiv Mishra and Barun Mishra, residents of Shivpuri area of Buxar town, Sumit Gupta, a resident of Mahuadih of Varanasi, Karan Singh and Amit Mishra, residents of Balihar village of the district.
Police also recovered one nine mm pistol, a rifle, a countrymade gun and 12 rounds of cartridge from their possession, the SP said.
Sharma said that these miscreants used to carry out activities in Buxar and its adjoining districts on the directive of one criminal Chandan Mishra, who is currently lodged in Buxar Central jail.
All the five have been sent to jail, the SP said.
