5 held for blocking rail traffic

Five members of a Tamil outfit were today arrested when they blocked rail traffic at nearby Pamban demanding an international probe into alleged war crimes in Sri Lanka, police said.

The activists of Tamizhar Vazhvurimai Iyakkam were lying flat on the railway track at Pamban and were removed by police.

They wanted the Centre to implement the demand made by the state assembly and the government for an international probe against Sri Lanka.
