5 kg poppy straw recovered, bus driver arrested

A bus driver has been arrested for allegedly possessing five kgs of poppy straw, police said today.

Police intercepted a bus driven by Jasbir Singh during checking and on search five kgs of poppy straw, which he had brought from Srinagar for further supply in Jammu, was recovered, they said.

The bus driver was arrested and the poppy straw were seized, they added.
