Five persons were killed and two others injured in a road accident near Shadnagar in Mahabubnagar district here this afternoon, police said.
According to S Kalmeswar, DSP Shadnagar, the car in which the deceased were traveling was on its way to Jedcherla when it was hit by another vehicle from the opposite side.
"The vehicle coming from Jedcherla apparently lost control and jumped the divider and hit the car in which the victims were traveling," the police official said.
The injured are being treated in hospital and the investigation is on, the DSP said.
