Five persons were killed when their autorickshaw collided with a lorry in Telangana's Khammam district in early hours today, police said.
The mishap occurred in Khammam's Penubali mandal at around 5.15 AM when the lorry coming from the opposite direction rammed into the autorickshaw.
Five male passengers of the three-wheeler died on the spot, DSP (Sathupalli division) B Ashok Kumar told PTI over phone.
Following the collision, the autorickshaw got dragged along with the lorry to some distance in a nearby field, he said.
Further probe was on into the accident, police added.
