5 major KVIC stores register 34% jump in sales

Five major departmental stores of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) have registered 34 per cent increase in sales during the first half of the current financial year.

KVIC Chairman V K Saxena said that the stores recorded a sale of Rs 27.47 crore during April-September period as against Rs 20.54 crore in the same period last year.

The sale of its largest outlet in the national capital increased to Rs 10.79 crore in October as against Rs 9.81 crore in October last.

The public sector units which purchased khadi gifts include Rural Electrification Corporation and ONGC.

The Ministry of MSME has recently approved KVIC's plan to go in for e-trade also.
 

KVIC will soon launch online sale of khadi products through Paytm.
