Security forces today arrested five Maoists including one carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head, during a raid in Giridih district, a senior CRPF official said.
Eight arms including an AK-47 and four INSAS rifles, besides ammunition were seized during the raid, said IG (CRPF) Sanjay Anand Latekar.
Personnel of the police and CRPF raided Akbaki village under Pirtand police station and captured Maoist leader Charlie alias Shekhar who was carrying a reward of Rs five lakh on his head, he said.
Latekar said no encounter took place during the raid.
