5 more held for BJD councillor's murder

Police today arrested five more persons for their alleged involvement in the murder of BJD councillor Laxmidutta Pradhan.

With them, the total number arrests in this connection rose to 13, police said.

Earlier, eight persons were arrested.

Pradhan, councillor in ward no 6 of Chhatrapur NAC, was killed outside his house at Chhatrapur on September 16.

He was one of the accused persons in the murder case of CPI supporter Sakuru Behera.
