Five members of a family were injured, two of them seriously, in a head-on collision between two cars near Ghashitpur village here today, police said.
The family of Amar Singh, a police head constable, was returning home in Gurdaspur district after paying obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar when the accident happened.
Amar, his wife Davinder Kaur, daughter Amritpreet, son Amritpal and another family member were injured in the collision and were admitted to a hospital, police said.
The condition of Amar and his wife was stated to be critical, they said.
