5 police officers transferred in Punjab

Punjab government today transferred five police officers, including four of IPS, with the immediate effect.

Surinder Kumar Kalia has been transferred as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Punjab Armed Police at Jalandhar, an official spokesperson said.

Gursharan Singh was made AIG (Personnel) while Babu Lal Meena was named Commandant-cum-Deputy Director (Indoor) Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Punjab Police Academy (MRS PPA) at Phillaur.

Kanwar Bahadur Singh has been named new AIG (Transport), the spokesperson said.

Punjab Police Service officer Shammi was posted as Commandant-cum-Deputy Director (Administration), MRS PPA Phillaur.
