A 55-year-old woman was allegedly gang raped and robbed by three persons in Rajpura area here, police said today.
The trio, identified as Somveer, Hari Babu, and Kishan has been arrested, they said.
The incident happened on Friday evening near Hirauni village when the victim was returning after purchasing medicines, in-charge of Rajpura police station Kashmir Singh Yadav said.
In a complaint lodged with the police last night, the woman alleged that the three accused first intercepted and robbed her after which they dragged her to a nearby field and gangraped her, he said.
Further investigations are underway in this connection, Yadav added.
