A 58-year-old man was murdered in his sleep by unknown assailants at Dujiana village here, police said today.
According to police, Phire Ram, who had last night slept outside in the fields, was found murdered in his cot when family members woke up this morning.
An FIR has been lodged at Badalpur police station in connection with the case, police said, adding that, "initial investigation points to an old enmity (as the cause behind the murder)".
