6 arrested for assaulting two foreign tourists in Raj

Six persons, including two girls, were arrested for allegedly assaulting two woman foreign tourists and as many locals in Rajasthan's Dungarpur district, police said today.

Suraj, Mohit, Sumit, Sanjay, Prajakta and Sonal, all hailing from Gujarat, had a heated argument with the women tourists from Russia and Ukraine yesterday following which they chased their car and hurled abuses at them, they said.

Later they stopped the car and assaulted the tourists, their guide and driver, police said, adding, the accused were arrested and later released on bail.
