Six men were arrested for allegedly running an illegal online casino in east Delhi's Shakarpur, police said today.

On May 5, the police were informed about the running of an illegal gaming house at a shop and a raid was conducted at the premises.

The raiding team found 15 play-stations which were used for playing and online bidding game within the premises, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Pankaj Singh said.

The organisers, who were running the casino for the last three-four months, were luring customers to bid a minimum of Rs 1000 on numbers online, he said.

The customers were promised Rs 36,000 if they got their number, the officer said.

Amit Kashyap (26), the manager of the casino, was arrested last year in Krishna Nagar for running a casino.

The others who were arrested were Rohit Sharmal, Sunny Chhabra, Sachin Kumar, Rishi Kesh and Pankaj Mishra.
