6 children killed in wall collapse

Six children were killed and two others injured this evening when a portion of an old house collapsed on them in Barmer district, police said here.

The incident occurred when the children were playing near the house in Siwana area, police said.

The victims, all aged between seven and 14, were rushed to a nearby hospital where six of them were declared dead, they said, adding, that condition of two injured children was stated to be critical.

They are being treated in Jodhpur, police said.
